UNDEFINED TERMS
they are called 'Undefined terms" because it is too simple to be defined. Also, it is in its simplest form.
Point- Specifies an exact location; It have no dimensions
characteristics:
1) coincident- one and the same
2) not coincident- not one and the same
3) coplanar- on the same plane
4) collinear- on the same line
5) concylic- on the same circle
Line- it has no thickness but its length extends in one dimension and goes on forever in both direction
characteristics:
1) a line can be straight or curve
2) through any two points is exactly one line
3)given a line in a plane, there exists atleast one point in the plane that is not on the line. give a plane in a space, there exists atleast one point in a space that is not in the plane.
4) two different lines intersect in atmost one point.
5)on a line, there's a unique distance between two points.
Planes- 2 dimensional surface; it has length and width, but no thickness and extends indefinitely in all directions.
characteristics:
1) two planes are either parallel or they in a lie,
2) a line is either parallel to a plane, intersects it at a single point, or is contained in the plane.
3) two lines perpendicular to the same plane must be parallel to each other.
4) two planes perpendicular to the same lines must be parallel to each other.
