(Mathematics is dreadful just because of some factors that make it that way. So because of that, we are like this. Though there are times we tried and fight it, still not winning.)

What is six plus six? Easy. Right? 50 divided by 10? Just like a doodle. Agree?
(Math, if we ever had the chance at all to really understand its nature, we’d all probably agreed that it’s just a piece of cake rather than life’s problems, eh?) As far as I know, Mathematics is a systematical process of solving numbers and their values. This teaches us the five easy ways in solving a mathematical problem. Find the given, look for the question or rather wheat is the problem, selects the proper formulas to be use, formulates a solution, and then concludes the answer. Then the next thing you know, you’re already done and good to go. But wait. How does this help us understand the world better, you ask? Can you imagine our life today without numbers? Can you continue your day without counting? All this questions came swirling to me when I first read this. I grew up learning different basic things including numbers. We’ve all been. Counting from 1 to 10 was the first thing my parents instilled in me, when I started to know how to communicate even without words. Everything in the world can be counted. If it’s so many, we can say it’s immeasurable. But still, we use numbers as our based. Our world faces different problems. Each individual has even their own. Each problem is unique just like us, humans. Mathematics might be too tough, too rough, too tricky and too risky but it’ll always provide you the desire to finish what you’ve started. It had this characteristic that whenever you’ll understand one of its points, you’ll begin to feel like you’re a smart person. Another thing that it gives you is the ability to solve a problem in a well-define manner. It will always be in your system. It gives you enough confidence to let others know what you are capable of. Will it might be a problem about your personal life, family, financial or even just the homework our teacher have given. It also makes, even the littlest things easier, by counting, by adding, by subtracting, by multiplying, and by dividing. Where in real life situations, when you know this basic things you’ll understand how it can deeply affect you and how you see the world you’re living in. Just think about it. Each step we take, we add something new to our life, it might be small or big, but still an addition that greatly affects us. Day by day, we subtract the years on how long we’re going to stay here on earth and by knowing that we sure to make everything counts. Learning more, expanding and multiplying all the knowledge that we can have, to ensure a better understanding of everything. And at each passing moments, we learn to divide our attention to know what’s more important and what will be our, my or your goals. There will be times that it surely makes you look like you’re not good enough for it. And some other times, that you two were like best buddies. But one thing’s for sure, it’ll help you better understand the world we’re living. Mathematics is a basic need in life. We use this everywhere. from the moment we wake up-- we check the time and date-- until we sleep. We need Math in our life. Some may be good at it, some may be not. Even though some of us are not good at it naturally, we still need to learn and appreciate it. math may be hard but it is worth learning. It can help us to be a wiser person. Also, Geometry can help. Geometry have a lot of application. We can see its application in almost everywhere. Geometry also plays a big role in our life.
But how can this two things-- Math and geometry-- help in creating a wise individual? I believe when some people say that learning Geometry and Math makes a person wiser. It helps them to be a analytic thinker. By simply applying what they learned in mathematics. They follow the steps they learned in math in solving a problem. They analyze first the problem before finding the right answer. This is one of the characteristics most Mathematicians have. It is fascinating how they applied Math in real life situations. Another way Math and geometry help in making a wiser individual is developing an attitude that they won't let other people fool them. i read this on an article about the characteristics of a mathematician. It states that they do not suffer fools. i don't know exactly how math contributes to this but I think maybe they also calculate the behavior of a person, if they can trust them or not. But this is just my hypothesis and I'm not sure how it works. One way i'm sure math and geometry can help is by making an individual confident. We all know that learning Math is not easy, and some people are not fortunate enough to understand it. Some people should consider themselves lucky because they know and understand Math well. In this way, they build up confidence. And confidence is important in making an individual wise because they need this in defending their facts, discoveries, and solutions. These are just some ways math and Geometry help in making people wise. Life without mathematicswhat if one day, you wake up and the thing you detest the most-- like math-- vanish? I bet most of the students would celebrate if that happens. Others would think there will be no burden in their life anymore.
People hate mathematics because it confuses them. They also think math is not that important in their life. But little did they know that their life revolves on mthematics. Sometimes it may not be obvious, but it is. If Math didn't exist at all, then life on Earth would be a total disaster. Why? Because math is the foundation of everything. Without math, there will be no science, since math is used in every field of science __ in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. And also, we will not know the other parts of the universe since there will be no explorations. No telescopes. No rockets to the Moon. No new discoveries. Pretty boring, isn't it? The worst part of not having Math? there will be no Internet. it won't even exist, even computers and phones. Mainly because there will be no technology. We all know that these things revolves on codes and programming, which is also math. If there is no Math, our lives would be simply like living in the prehistoric era. Living inside the caves 'coz there will be no measurements used in building a house. What people wear would be nothing but leaves. And the most important thing that might happen if this thing didn't exist is that Life would be plain boring. There will be no challenge in our studies. We will not be able to build things like gadgets, televisions, cars, etc. Our life would not be that thrilling at all. See? Now we realize that Mathematics is really important. Not just in our studies, but in our everyday lives. I think this is the time we need to put aside our ha The given formula for circular segment is: Ag= r²/2 (Θ/180π-SinΘ) General Formulas:
Area of a Sector (As) = Θ/360πr² Area of a Triangle( At)= ½r²sinΘ As= Ag-At (area of the segment= sector area - area of the triangle ) Why is the At =1/2 r²sinΘ? Because the formula for finding the area of the triangle given 2 sides and an included angle is 1/2AB sin C but since the given is an isosceles triangle (both sides are equal) then A=B=R. So, r² . Solution: Ag = Θ/360πr² - ½ r² sinΘ I used commutative property to reach the formula for Ag which is r²/2 (Θ/180π-sinΘ) - 1/2 r² sinΘ + Θ/360πr² And Using Greatest Common factor 1/2 r²(-sinΘ+ Θ/180π) Used Commutative property again 1/2 r² (Θ/180π-sinΘ) Ag = r²/2 (Θ/180π-sinΘ) And now we derived on the same formula.
